Increasing Local Energy Demands
Grant County PUD has 75 applicants asking for 2,897 MW of total peak demand. This is 3x the current peak load of 1,050 MW.
Current Demand Breakdown:
Data Centers make up about 50% of the demand.
Quincy needs 1,578 MW.
Moses Lake needs 1,153 MW.
Solar power is the best way to provide new, cost-effective energy.
WA Clean Energy Transformation ACT (2019) requires new power to be Greenhouse Gas Neutral by 2030.
